Mr. John Thomas is the Founder and Executive Director of Expert Procurement Training College (EPTC).
He represents the organisations he worked for in several high-profile meetings with stakeholders, vendors, shareholders, clients and other important Government delegates. John Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Management from the University of Papua New Guinea(UPNG) and presently studying Bachelors in Law at the University of Papua New Guinea. He obtained a Diploma in Supply Chain Management from the University of Queensland in Australia. He also attained a number of Management certificates from various institutions abroad.
He is a Supply Chain professional with well over 23 years of extensive experience in various functions of procurement, contracts, logistics, inventory, warehouse, freight forwarding, fleet management, asset management and many more general supply chain services. He also had experience in the areas of business optimisation and planning, staff training & coaching, procurement, contracts management, sales management, corporate strategy, marketing, project management, leadership and customer experience management.
He has worked in the sectors of Telecommunications, Mining, Oil, Gas, Donor Funded Projects and Healthcare Sector around PNG and overseas. Major companies he has worked with and consulted include Telikom PNG Limited as the Group Head of Procurement, Procurement & Contracts Manager at US Aids Projects, Supply Officer at Porgera Gold Mine, Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer at ExxonMobil, Senior Procurement Officer at Oil Search, Parts Graduate Trainee at Hastings Deering.
