Prof. Janos Suagotsu, ICT Head at Autonomous Bougainville Government, emphasized that Asset Management and Disposal Training is timely. Government assets are not properly registered or accounted for, and ABG needs a software solution to track inventories and enforce proper procurement and disposal processes. The 2022 training by EPTC highlighted how integrated asset registers and compliant disposal workflows can transform governance. ABG has 25 officers currently attending this training and finds this course highly helpful, noting EPTC is the only institution offering this training. ABG looks forward to deeper collaboration with EPTC in the coming years to scale and sustain these capabilities.

I completed a 6-month online Advanced Level-4 Certificate in Public Procurement and Contract Management course with EPTC, becoming their first graduate in October 2024. Studying online while working was challenging but more convenient and flexible. I managed my time to complete all modules, quizzes, and assignments. This is the first online course of its kind in PNG, designed for working professionals like me. EPTC’s online learning platform offers flexibility and accessibility, making it possible to gain new skills without pausing work. I believe EPTC is pioneering education in procurement & supply chain in PNG and setting a strong example for the future

I studied face-to-face class for a 6-month Advanced Level-4 Certificate course in Warehouse and Inventory Management with EPTC at the National Research Institute after Grade 12. Inspired by my older brother’s career in Supply Chain, I realized this profession offers a rewarding future. Completing the course in October 2024 helped me secure my first role as Storeman at OK Tedi Mining Warehouse. EPTC’s training provided practical skills and opened new career opportunities in procurement and supply chain management for me.

The Public Procurement and Contract Management training delivered this week by a EPTC procurement practitioner is essential for all public servants. It provides clear guidance on procurement processes and guidelines aligned with the PNG Procurement Act and the Public Finance Management Act. The training enhances understanding of managing and using public funds responsibly. I see its value in promoting compliance and transparency.

EPTC delivered a tailored two-week Procurement, Logistics, Inventory, and Warehouse training for my team in Lae. The course focused on local content and addressed supply chain challenges specific to mining. It equipped staff with practical skills to prioritize orders, manage suppliers, and strengthen supply chain resilience. I recognize the value of this training in improving our operational efficiency and adapting to challenges. I recommend this program to organizations seeking to build stronger supply chain capabilities in the mining, oil and gas sectors in PNG.
